Jay McBain, an accomplished speaker, author and innovator in the IT industry, started creating the Top 100 Most Visible Channel Leaders list way back in 2009. He collected channel magazines, attended dozens of tradeshows, studied associations, peer group, bloggers and activity on social media. When he’d come across a keynote speaker, top industry list or writer, he’d write their name and company down with a checkmark and if he came across them again, he’d add another checkmark next to it. What he created was a master spreadsheet that tracked 2,855 people with multiple community touchpoints across 1,702 companies.
McBain whittled down the list to the top 100 and our very own CEO Terry Hedden makes the list at #66 with 20 points.
